Delete your account
Deleting your account permanently removes all data we hold about you: reading history, quiz attempts, streaks, badges, push tokens, and any reading-journal entries. We process the deletion within 30 days.
Option 1 — Inside the app (recommended)
The fastest way: open KnowMax → Profile → Account → Delete Account. Confirm. Done.
Option 2 — Web (if you've lost access)
Email privacy@knowmax.co.in from the address registered to your account. We'll confirm and process within 30 days.
Why email instead of a form? We have to verify it's actually you, which means matching the request to the registered email. Sending from that email is the simplest proof.
What gets deleted
- Your account record (email, display name, timezone)
- Reading history and all quiz attempts
- Streak, badges earned, streak shields
- Reading journal entries (Scholar tier)
- Push notification tokens
- Anonymous identifier in PostHog (analytics) and Sentry (crash reports)
- RevenueCat subscription record (active subscriptions cancel at end of period — manage that via App Store / Play Store)
What we keep (and why)
- Anonymised payment receipts retained for 7 years (tax / accounting obligation)
- Aggregated, non-identifying analytics that can no longer be traced to you
